Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is currently recruiting for full-time Intake Psych Registered Nurses for day and night shifts.
The Intake Nurse is responsible for ensuring appropriate level of patient care and to assess the needs of walk-ins and phone callers to best address their need(s).
Daily duties include:
Preform Nursing Assessments for inpatient and outpatient programs
Participate in medical emergencies
Conduct clinical assessments
Medication Management
Accurate documentation and calls
Team leadership skills,
Crisis intervention
Health education to patients/families.
RequirementsLicensure: Licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing
Education: Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
Experience: 1 year experience in behavioral health and/or chemical dependency preferred
Certifications: CPR/CPI must be attained within 30 days of your hire date.
